XFX and SCAN
I am having to RMA a xfx card back to scan who today told me it has to go back to XFX which will take 10days .
Now is it normaly for XFX to take 10 days just to give Scan a answer and does any one have any knowledge of XFX rma.
As this is my 4th XFX card back to scan to be RMA but only the first to go back to XFX.

Re: XFX and SCAN
It probably will take a while as they will want to test the card etc.. When I RMA'd to dabs they gave me a week or so before deciding..

Re: XFX and SCAN
7 days eekk :surprised:
and she told me 10 days from this coming wednesday before they hear anything
I know scan will do there best it's just XFX which I am unsure off, but nice to hear that you two have been quick

Re: XFX and SCAN
well if it's 7 working days then it could eaisly be 10 real days.
also depends when and why the rma, depending on the retailers disgression, if it's obsiously borked and they have plenty in stock they might just send out a new card before sending the borked one back to manufactor.

Re: XFX and SCAN
You don't say what kind of card it was, but if it was a reasonably old one, that they don't do anymore, then there will have to be a bit of negotiation as to what card you will receive in return.
I had this with a 7900GTO. The first one they just swapped in-store for a refund plus cash to get an 8800GTS 320Mb, the second one they RMA'd and I got the GTS from the manufacturer.
Scan are definitely one of the most straightforward outfits to have an RMA with though. Compared to Overclockers they walk on water as far as I'm concerned.
