There once was a time when I'd stay well clear of PC World, but that's no longer the case. Has anybody else noted that some of their prices are now incredibly competitive - if not better than the competition?
I also love the reserve and collect from store option - so handy being able to pick up your stuff the same day.
Was on the lookout for a printer recently, and got the HP C8180 - couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else. On the lookout for a new monitor now and Samsung's SM2232BW is £189.99 at PC World - again cheaper than most of the online stores.
What's more, they have a cracking price-match promise that'll match any of the following:
If any of those are cheaper, PC World will reduce its price by 110% of the difference.Amazon.co.uk*(excluding Amazon Marketplace), Argos, Asda, B&Q, Comet, Dabs*, Ebuyer.com*, Dell, Evesham Technology*, Game, Gamestation, Halfords, HMV, Jessops, John Lewis, Maplin, Misco*, Play*, Staples, Tesco, Toys r Us, Virgin, Woolworths
(* Excludes Televisions)
Never thought I'd be shopping quite so much at PC World, but it's proving to be very handy. One thing worth noting, though, is that its in-store prices still aren't great. You need to buy online and then collect in store to get most of the discounted stuff.
