    'factory graded' products

I've been looking for a deals on Ipods and came across this site: http://www.electrical-deals.co.uk/ei...en/pid/9591049

Just a bit worried about the 'factory graded' part. Does anyone have any experience with buying factory graded products? Is it worth risking to shave 20 quid off the street price?

AFIAK Factory graded items are basically returns or factory seconds. For starters it only has a 90day warranty. That alone would make me inclined to spend the extra £20 on a nice shiney new one with a 12month warranty and all the other benefits and peace of mind you'll get buying on the highstreet or decent etailer. Guess it depends on how much you need to make a saving and whether your a gambling man.

I concur, I would rather pay a little extra for a 12 month warranty.

    Re: 'factory graded' products

I got a factory reconditioned 30gb video Ipod from amazon (A subsidiary of theirs on Marketplace) a year ago. It was supposed to be perfect except for minor scratches. The thing kept rebooting every time I touched the front of it. Needless to say it went back and I spent an extra £40 getting a new 80Gb classic. I think I'll keep clear of these in the future but hey if your lucky it might just be a bargain for you?
