    Re: memorybits.co.uk

Used them on many occassions and they're first rate! Plenty of opportunities to get discounts (I had 2 x 10% off codes when registering and they dish out more when you submit a review) and a great cash back rate of 15% via QuidCo. So far they've even honoured QuidCo's cash back when used in conjunction with a MemoryBits discount code so it's not hard to get 25% off. Definately recommended.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

    Re: memorybits.co.uk

Yep, same here, used them and bought 5 x 2Gb MicroSD cards with adaptor, came very quick, they even split my postage in 2 to avoid custom charge..Highly recommended. Normally use 7DayShop, but been having problems with their website (they even did a credit card check on me when I could not place an order!!). Memorybits is definitely cheapest so far.

Also used their online Support, which was instant and extremely useful.

Note! I only managed to get 10% back from Quidco, also cannot use any promotion code when check out as it knows I went to their website via Quidco.

    Highly recommended!!

Oh! Forgot to mention, free delivery with orders over £20...Excellent

I ordered a CF card on 26th November, marked IN STOCK, and I'm still waiting for it, they advertise delivery in 2 to 4 days. I've sent several emails NO replies....nothing. All I can say is that they are based in the channel islands which should have alerted me to a dodgey business. I paid by PAYPAL so I'm going to try and get them blackballed by them and if they trade through eBay I'll lodge a complaint with them as well. Buyer beware.

Have you tried their online chat support? I've recently bought a 16Gb SDHC from them, although took slightly longer than the 2-4 days delivery, I sort of expected with the Christmas posts going on.

I placed an order on 02 December, 2007 . The order never arrived . I emailed several times . Each time I was told "The order will be with you shortly" - it never arrived . Finally - after a year - I emailed them again and was told "Im sorry but we are not sending an order out that is over a year old. That is too long to leave it. " . I would say avoid them like the plague . I have always had excellent service out of Mobymemory so use them instead .

    Re: memorybits.co.uk

In November 2008 I ordered some RAM from memory bits. I used the 'Easy to use memory finder' on the 'MemoryBits' website to find the right memory.

On arrival the memory was clearly wrong, wouldn't fit etc. I returned it for a refund. Upon not receiving a refund I have been continually fobbed off by their call-handlers. First of all they cited their own policy of no refunds on opened memory packaging. I pointed out they recommended, then sent me the wrong memory, their policy cannot over-ride my legal rights.

After more prevarication their latest explanation is that the 'memory finder' is not MemeoryBit's, but Kingston's. They say I must therefor take up the problem direct with Kingston!

MemoryBits is clearly the last firm any one should be using. They have effectively stolen my money.

    Re: memorybits.co.uk

I recently ordered a few bits and bobs that they shipped seperately for some reason... One of the orders was an R4 card for my DS, which they billed me for, then shipped me the R4 card +2Gib SDHC card that they were flogging for a few quid more which was a bonus. Another part of the order was a USB memory card reader, and they shipped me a 2Gib USB key instead...

Their promise of replying to all emails in 15 minutes is a ridiculous claim, and they haven't stuck with it in the 3 emails I've sent them.

Pricing is good then, and sometimes you get a better deal than you'd expect but I don't think I'll be using them again.

    Re: memorybits.co.uk

All I can say is do not use this company!!!!!. I ordered a lexmark high capacity printer cartridge from this company on the 4th March 2009. The invoice stated a 3-4day delivery time. Twenty days later I am still waiting. I have had no apologies from these people and they still cannot give me a delivery date. I sincerely hope the credit crisis destroys bad companies like this
