Why photos with username in FS?

I was just wondering why does everyone include a piece of paper including their username in most photos in the FS thread - I can't remember seeing it in the rules or anything, is it just to prove you have the items to sell or something?

More to do with showing that the photo is yours instead of one pulled from elsewhere or from the net etc

....and a date on it to show that you have the item still - ie not sold it twice two weeks ago

Ahh right will update my photos in a bit then, that wasn't there when I originally read the rules a few weeks ago was it edited in recently?

Yeah. I don't think you need to add new photos, although it could help.
