I'm looking to purchase a laptop. Budget is around 500-600 unless something screams value for money I'd push for 700 tops.
I saw a Toshiba laptop in shop today that caught my eye. They seem to have nice screens, solid looking systems. Initially I was looking at tecra range, but consumer range would also do the trick.

It won't be travelling around too much.
Usage will be work & home - Ms office, Internet. Multitasking. I will want to watch video on it whether online or on physical media. I do light image editing. Upload occasional video online.

How would ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5145 compare to intel media accelerator. Or should I save money by avoiding discrete graphics?
