Price Check - EVGA GTX 8800 retail boxed

    Hi,

    Final component for now.

I'm having a clear out, and so would like a price check on my eVGA GTX 8800 GTX.

Several years old but still going strong folding for Hexus! Due to age, card will be out of warranty, sold as working.

I also have a water cooling block for this, which I had never fitted - I think it's a swiftech one. Not sure if I should include in the sale. Advice anyone?

    Many thanks

    Mike

CeX will give you £45 for the 8800gtx and £198 for the 295 (I think; they may not take stock WC cards). they have two stores in LP.

Considering postage the 8800 seems a good price. The 295 may be worth more.

I'm thinking try and get rid of the block with the card; i could be wrong though.

Re: Price Check - EVGA GTX 8800 retail boxed

I paid 50 quid for a refurbished (7 day warranty) 8800GTX six months ago. It lasted six months before dying and has been rejuvenated by baking it in the oven.

I wouldn't have paid much over 50 quid - but at that price point there's nothing else that's as fast and exhausts air out of the case. Pay a bit more and cards that are almost as fast start to surface, and they're not saddled with some of the limitations of the G80 core.

Re: Price Check - EVGA GTX 8800 retail boxed

    Thanks for the feedback folks.

Think I'll try the items individually, with start prices of £50 and £200 for the GTX 8800 and GTX 295 on ebay.
