If you are based in the UK, you could order from

    1) Viking Direct online
    2) Staples store or their online site

and if you are not rushed for time, you could just wait for a special offer. Unfortunately, I have to wait for a few more posts before I can actually upload the links but you can google them

Alternatively, if you have a carpenter friend, it might be worth seeing if they could make the hideaway desk to your dimensions for a nice price

    Re: Home office furniture

Yeah Saxen are a good company I kitted out my Gaming room with their studio office range and mesh enjoy chair (seriously good chair) The furniture took 3 weeks to arrive but they told me this when I called, definatley worth the wait though really good quality, the chair only took a couple of days. They also advertise regularly in Grand Designs magazine so they must be a fairly large company. They have 2 websites saxen.co.uk and homeofficedesks.co.uk and the second one looks way more proffessional, the first one dosent really do them any favours to be honest.

Erm, no. It jut means they can afford the advertising fees. It certainly means they may be, perhaps means they probably are, but doesn't mean they "must" be.

I know nothing about them. They may be large or small, reputable or not. I just advocate reading too much into advertising beyond being able to afford it, and while that may indicate a large and successful company, it may also indicate a start-up with decent capitalisation, or anything in-between.
