Ebuyer doing some insane deals on graphics cards!!

I had a gander over on HUKD and they were selling HD6950 1GB and GTX560TI cards for around £130!!

    They have now sold out!

However, there are some very cheap GTS450 and GTX550TI cards:

This single slot GTX460 is under £120:

About time, they have been getting their butts kicked on prices, I have shopped with them for 7 yrs, used to be my first port of call, once this year they have got my custom, scan and amazon have had my business this year.

Re: Ebuyer doing some insane deals on graphics cards!!

Hmm.. thats a shame.. I thought Ebuyer might be learning from their mistakes. I was looking at buying a laptop from them, but doing a simple Google search on the part number would save me £50 at least. If you want to Samsung netbook or a Monitor at good price they are quite good for that but not much else now.
My brother also gave up on them, saved a lot by ordering his Phenom II x6 system bits at Xmas through Scan.. and Scan didn't make fuss about the snow either lol!

Re: Ebuyer doing some insane deals on graphics cards!!

But what you do get with ebuyer is seriously good service. Never had a problem with them and trust them to do the decent thing. Cheaper sites exist, but yours is the gamble whether something needs to be returned, and the hassle that can be incurred.

Ebuyer still get my custom - and I've found that for some things they have better ranges than the competition. Eg Patch cable for the trivial end. It's all well and good having websites that list an item as coming in a variety of colours, but not letting you choose which to put in your basket. Ebuyer win here.
And at the other end I've found them to do a good deal on twin GTX460 SoC GPUs, though maybe that was a Christmas special. I got 2 free copies of HAWX2 with them. Must download them thinking about it. Ah roll on end of exams...

did you mean the 6950? That's some discount!

The 1GB 6850 is still in stock at £125, though it is an XFX one http://www.ebuyer.com/product/244473

None of these easter deals were honoured by ebuyer, a good way of them to get an interest free loan.

Re: Ebuyer doing some insane deals on graphics cards!!

    Yes they take payment

    Order Acknowledgement

Payment Processed(We can now confirm that your order has been processed and payment has been successfully taken)

That is how the initial order process goes, if you use ebuyer it is very clear both in your account and via email

    from their own site

    http://www.ebuyer.com/help/ordering

    Security Check

Your order is queued in our system and is waiting to be processed by our Order Management Team.

Security is paramount at Ebuyer, therefore we periodically review accounts to ensure a secure environment for our buyers, this means that we will carry out routine security checks to verify that the account details you have supplied are valid. Although unlikely, there is a possibility an order could be slightly delayed if passed for a security check. If we are unable to verify some of your account information, this may result in further identification documents being requested to help with verification of your account details.
    Order Placed

Your order has been entered into our system following successful security clearance and is waiting for all stock to become available.
    Goods Allocated

Some or all of your items have now been sourced from one or more of our available dispatch points. If all items have been allocated then a Confirmed Ship Date should follow shorlty.
    Stock Warning

Some or all of your items are out of stock/discontinued. This will potentially delay the shipping of your order.

You should see an email and an order note detailing which of your order items ecountered problems. These items will be highlighted in red on your ‘View Order’ page, from there follow the links and take any remedial action neccessary.

Any remaining items showing as ‘Allocated’ will only stay allocated to your order for a maximum of 48 hours. If you do not act within this time these items will be de-allocated and made available for general sale.
    Payment Taken

We have successfully taken payment from your credit card and you should receive confirmation of this by email.

If you look at your order lines you will see Confirmaed Ship Dates (CSD) for each item. This may vary depending on the delivery date you requested and the warehouse responsible for shipping your goods. None of your items will usually be shipped until these confirmed ship dates are reached, however some warehouses may ship ahead of schedule.
    Payment Error

During the process of charging your credit card we were unable to obtain an authorisation code, you should see an email and an order note informing you of this. This may be for a number of reasons, please check your payment details to ensure they are correct.
    Pick In Progress

The day before your delivery is due (or in some cases sooner) your order status should advance to ‘Pick in Progress’. If you look at the individual lines on your order you will also see this on a line by line basis. This means that your order has entered our warehouse system and is being picked. Once your order is at this status you will not be able to amend or change your order or your payment/shipping address details.
    Shipping

Your order has left our warehouse and is being shipped to you by one of our couriers. You may be able to track your order using the shipping details provided.
    Invoiced

Your order has now been fully dispatched and your invoice can be printed via the Ebuyer website.
    Scheduled for Cancel

If you have requested your order to be cancelled (either by phone or using the order tools provided on the website) your order status will show as ‘Scheduled for Cancel’. This means we have acknowledged your request to cancel the order and your request should be completed shortly.
    Cancelled

Your order has been cancelled. Any reasons for order cancellation will show in your order notes.

The GTX550TI is much slower than a HD6850.
