I bought a secondhand XFX HD5850 1GB Black Edition with a copy of DiRT2 for around £90 a few months ago. I probably should have waited a bit longer in hindsight but hopefully it will do the job until next year.

Just a heads up - The XFX HD 6850 version is known to have a cheap PCB and a none reference design which stops the usual tweaking utilities from working.

I don't know if this card is the same, so you'll need to wait for someone to confirm.

Other brands around around £10 more and have significantly better after sales support / RMA if needed, so they might be worth considering to.

Funnily enough I did the same & bought a 5850 for that price, the 6xxx range didn´t tempt me at that point for the difference in price, for $130 (on hols, no pound sign!) I might be tempted.

I wouldn't be too bothered I've got a 5850 and must say it runs everything I throw at it admirably!
