Recommend a TV or Monitor for XBOX 360!!

    Hi,
I have recently purchased an XBOX 360, but i only have a normal television set. Although the console won't come until early february, i want to buy a better TV or PC monitor in advance to play it with better quality. I'm not sure whether to buy a 19"-20" HD ready TV, or to buy a good PC monitor and play it on that. I have a budget of £500. Could you please give me your thoughts about whether i should buy an HD ready TV or a PC monitor and could you please give me some recommendations?
    Thanks,
    CWilles404

Basically, you wont get a decent hdtv for £500 (yet, maybe in 6 months) so get a nice monitor like a dell 2005fpw £350 or a dell 2405fpw if your feeling flush £500 they can both handle the xbox 360's top display mode.

Dont use a dell 2405fpw for the xbox 360. because the res is so high on the monitor even at the xbox 360 top resolution it looks crap on the dell.

    I know this from Exp

Good point. The Dell 2405's top res is 1920x1200 (which is 1080p iirc and the 360 does 720p)

Samsung LE26R41B from Digi UK. They're at £596 now, obviously the popularity has raised its price from when i ordered it.

Not getting it till the end of Dec though
