    Viewsonic Or Dell Widescreen TFT?

    Query speaks for itself really,

People with these monitors can you comment on there quality and performance?

Looking on Scan Today only the Viewsonic is a little cheaper and seems to have better specs but do the specs speak the truth?

    Kind Regards

    Stephen

Viewsonic monitors are awesome quality, I haven't used that particular one but I got to a couple a while back, fantastic screens.

whats the dead pixel policy with the monitors?

is the 20 inch widescreens as tall as a normal 19 inch?

Another happy Viewsonic owner here, 19" VX912b. Can't fault them in any way tbh, oozes quality and the picture quality speaks for itself really. Seen it next to Iiyamas, Dells and Samsungs for comparison and I can still honestly say I'd go for the Viewsonic.

I'm looking to trade up to a widescreen Dell atm but only because you can pick them up quite cheap, I may even just keep the Viewsonic and sit it beside the Dell I like it so much. TBH it's like going from an Aston Martin to something along the lines of a Mercedes, both nice but the Aston has that 'special' feel to it. They have a 2ms jobby out now too which is good if your an old skool CRT nazi.

(nb. This is my opinion, there are many like it but this on is mine, hmmk?)

Had a quick look at the spec sheet for the Viewsonic and it doesn't appear to have a menu option where you can set the display to 1:1 scaling at a lower than native resolution if you want to.

The Dell also has 2 extra inputs.

im thinking that im gunna have to go with the viewsonic. Its not a nice black colour but its a bit cheaper for a similar display quality it seems.

How about BenQ they seem to be making a lot of stuff recently high quality but cheap.
