90% of UK allocation and you will be able to get it from OcUK as early as the
    23rd August or possibly earlier

lol so anyone at scan heres your chance to get the remainder 10% or so

Everyone knows that Gibbo is a marketing hype puppet - hell he used to do it before he worked at OCUK, what you think got him his job ?

He only pimps stuff he 'wants to sell' <- sales man through and through.

Their model seems to be based on hype, thats how they get advertising(free) and exploitation of enthusiasts market.

What i don't understand is why ppl get so loyal to ANY retailer , I don't.
I go with someone who gives good service and price, regardless of who they are.
Hence why I do buy some stuff off OCUK, check out the prices on teh 7600GT as an example, now and then you can get a good deal.

TBH it seems OCUK have followed ebuyers lead with customer support options.

"and as a special bonus for our loyal members, we will only charge you £50 over the retail value, plus i will be dressing up as an official rep from ATI and posting on the forums.

Only had one order with OCUK and it went ok, however, after reading some things on their forums I probably wont order from them again. Just heard too many horror stories.

Well I've had no problems with them. At all. Ever. I couldn't be happier, and am going to buy again from them tommorow.

The usual horror stories still remain - people receiving "used goods", customer services telling people to deal with the manufactuer direct rather than with them when goods malfunction within 2 months of the purchase etc etc

Interesting that the link is to a praise OCUK post (they love brownosers) - but you will NEVER see a negative post ABOUT THEMSELVES (unless within 10 secs of posting) they sanatise the board to make themselves look super - when in fact they are rotten to the core IMHO.

I wonder whether they will be on the 2012 olympics suppliers list???

Lets just say they have some pretty closed minded people posting on their forums, this was in the admin section that got leaked round the internet. I don't have it anymore but someone might.

As people said, if you express any negative opinion they ban you, remove the post.

    Remember, big Brother is watching.

If you do that here, with Scan, or any of the other retailers for instacne they look into it, not ignore you.

But let me repeat this, the only order I have had from OCUK went well, but after reading the forum leaks, put me off big time.

I would never use them again after my RMA experience.

To cut a long story short, I RMA'd a Shuttle to them some years ago through Parcel Force, after 10 days I got in contact with them (not an easy thing to do), looking for an update. "No sir we have not received your Shuttle" was my reply.

I was spoken to like some kind of criminal by their customer services, and was told to get proof that they had the machine. After contacting Parcel Force and faxing OCuk a signed delivery document by a staff member of OCuk, I was told we neither have the Shuttle nor does anyone by the name on the delivery note work for OCuk.

At this point I went ballistic and wrote to the MD, who again tried to make me feel I was making the whole thing up. I posted on the forums only to have it removed and my account banned.

After I threatened legal action, I received a letter saying they now had my Shuttle and were sending it off for repair. No apology nothing!

After about 5 weeks my Shuttle was returned to me.

Now I leave it up to you to decided if that's good customer service.

They're lucky it wasn't me. I'd have forced a chargeback on my credit card as soon as they threw that crap at me about noone by that name working for them!

im still really happy with OCUK as luckily ive never had any issues with them...but im under the general impression that when something goes wrong then it goes wrong in a big way...Scan is always my first port of call for stuff, overclockers is only used in an extreme case of needing parts

i must admit i am extra cautious when rma'ing with ocuk

eg, my graphics card was playing up, 7900gt lock ups and corruption etc..

i rma'ed it, sending actual print outs of the corruption etc..

got a new card sent out the same day they got it RMSD too

ive only really used them in the last year or 2,

however i know someone who had a problem about 7 years ago.

which begs the question, anyone had any problems in the last year or 2?

And when i raised the issue on there forums, it was locked and then removed.

When i called them up the next mornign they gave a half baked excuse for the problems and no offers of a refund for delivery or anything.

    AVOID THEM
