My old ones have broken.. I'm looking for some cheap but decent in-ear headphones that will last me a while. Preferably around the £10, nothing much more than that cos im a cheapskate student

    Any recommendations?

Seriously don't reccomend buying inear ones at that price! I love in-ear ones and bought some £10 ones from ebay but urmmm they suck...don't even fit in my ear, sound really tinny So I bought the iPod official ones.....ridiculously priced but they are excellent in terms of quality/sound etc but way too expensive! I would suggest some Senheiser ear-phones really, because you can get £10 ones which sound really good, they come with a little case if your interested

I'd recommend a pair of Sennheisers as Zyte mentioned. There are other models with slightly better specs but not sure how they really perform when compared with the mx300 (I have these).

I understand those Creative headphones are pretty good. I have some Sennheiser CX300 which are a very similar design (but cost about £10 more...) and are brilliant, which I got for ~ £23 inc (free) delivery from Scan when they had them on Toady Only.

the MX300's are nice, but i've still not found any in-ear headphones (excluding professional ones at 50+quid) better than Sony MDR-EX71 Fontopias:

They are even better now that Sony have released a new revision with a better cable (that won't break the moment you touch it!). Great range, sound, comfort..It really is worth the money - you will loath to use any other headphones afterwards

I'll second that, I've had 2 pairs (first broke, must have been the older revision you mentioned), but the sound quality and comfort are exceptional for the price. They also deaden external sounds quite well so you can hear your music better. Its worth it...

The Soundwise e2 at £19 delivered and the g3 at £25 delivered are both far better than ex71 or the MX300s.

I really would strongly suggest against getting headphones from eBay. Counterfeits are rife and unless you are buying from a very large eBay store that can be trusted it really isn't worth the hassle. I've had my own bad experience with headphones from eBay as well, this isn't just what I've heard.

I ended up going for some Sennheiser MX 500 in White for £14.99 delivered from Play.com, a far better price than anywhere I could find. They seem very good, although I've not really had a chance to test them with a good audio source yet.
