    Saverstore (aka savastore)

It seems savastore is now saverstore and they have pages up.

However, there seems to be some pages missing and in all an incomplete website.

I came across some good offers (only retailer selling the item new) and now they offer free delivery but my instincts tell me I shouldn't even bother with them.

    What do you guys reckon?

I would still buy with credit card protection against the store's failure to provide goods, which means spending over £100 and paying with a credit card. It's still a hassle, and savastore had a fairly poor reputation for customer service which may be indiciative of the new store too, so I would need them to be selling something I particularly want or at a very good price.

In summary, must be cheap, over £100, pay by credit card.

Strange as it may seem, my experiences of RMA with savastore or watfordelectronics.co.uk as it used to be called has no parallels. I got a full refund on a 2 year old 9800pro, full refund of original price I paid. Also no trouble with a hard drive RMA. Ive never heard a bad word of them until after they went bust.

I was also pretty taken back when I heard they had gone into administration, I'd had nothing but excellent experiences with them down the years.

I would also like to add that overall my experience with Watford Electronics aka savastore was positive over more than twelve years. Their prices were competive and the same on the counter.

I returned items on four occasions and got full refund without problems three times. The other time the item was more than 30 days old and they insisted on a manufacturer repair, but don't all suppliers do this?

Thanks guys. I took a gamble earlier this week on the item I had an eye on and now I'm a happy owner of an X1900CF edition graphics card.

Other than Mithrandir, has anyone else ordered from the newly named saverstore recently? What was your experience, as I may order from them in the future because of their free delivery.

    I would order from them:

    1. Anything over £100, where I use a credit card and thus have a guarantee from the card company, or

    2. Anything cheap enough that I don't care, esp[ecially if the free delivery makes a big %age difference to the price I pay.

Just got an email from them saying they are converting my savapoints into cash. I thought I had lost them all.

I have used Savastore for quite a few years but as I live near I have always called in. Over the last couple of days I have tried to order a graphics card from them online, my credit card was refused 4 times and my debit card twice, the on screen message was to call my bank as authorisation had not been given, just as I was about to call my bank my phone rang, It was the credit card investigation dept.
They wanted to know if I had been using my card at Saverstore as they had given out 4 authorisations for the same amount to them within a short period of time, they thought my card may have been stolen, nice to see they are on the ball.
After trying for a few hours to call the Saverstore order line I eventually got through, (bit like NTL CS) think there may be only one line and one guy on orders.
Had the same problem with him as he could not get authorisation on my cards, I know that my cards are OK so perhaps me and my cards are blacklisted by them or maybe their system is up the spout, shame really as they had an ATI X1800XT I fancied, will just have to go and look elswhere
