    Are Aria.co.uk always this bad?

I placed an order on Sunday (28/01).

One item was listed as out of stock at the time, but like it says on their website somebody will contact you and adjust the order accordingly.

Come Tuesday I send off a support request because I've had no contact. It's now Friday and my earlier attempt at contacting them went ignored, so I've sent an e-mail.

But they sure as heck didn't forget to bill my credit-card as soon as the order was sent.

If only Scan had the part in I wanted.

Update: Order still not arrived, fourteen working days later, and customer support contacted me once telling me "I will put your order on a priority list and we will aim to get it sent before this weekend", well the weekend has come and gone, so more empty promises.

    Avoid Aria at all costs.

I have only ever ordered one thing from them, which was a TFT monitor about 3-4 years back. It came quickly but was DOA. The were very quick to sort it, in fact i have a new one before i even returned the old one. But times change i guess, although in all fairness i have not heard many bad things about them.

Aria aren't too bad, I've use them a number of times in the past and they have always been pleasant to deal with and delivered on time. In fact, I ordered the current DDR2 RAM I have from them

I do call them when there's a problem though and to put things in contrast, scan have annoyed me 3 times in the last 6 weeks, to the point where I doubt I'll be ordering much from them again even after happily spending thousands with them.

Everyone gets bad experiences, no matter who you order from. The important thing though is that they are a reputable company and won't run off with your money.

My 1st and last order with them was for a £500 workstation, they failed to honour the deal, and proceeded to compound the issue by not being able to agree between themselves what the real problem was [i.e. was never in stock/seriously underpriced/was on its way etc etc]

for the inconvenience they gave me a "free" memory stick, retail at the time less than a fiver [the 10 days my money was in their account was probaly worth as much]

tbh no online e-tailer I have dealt with is perfect, and I am intolerant of poor service [if I fail my customer I will endeavour to put it right even if it means going the extra mile]. some are faster than others processing an order, some are poor at RMA and some dont keep accurate stock data. I can tolerate the poor RMA, as usually it is down to a faulty product and the e-tailer is merely a middle man trying to help the end user [i.e. not directly their fault], I am less tolerant of the latter as it reflects directly on the e-tailer.

I've used Aria once, once was enough for me to learn not to use them again. The problem I had was that my order wasn't delivered, they charged me for next day delivery in the end it took a week and a day with the majority of that being because I couldn't get a hold of anybody at Aria who would chase my order for me.

I started on the morning of the first day by sending them a message via the contact us section of their website, then in the afternoon of the same day, I sent them an e-mail since I'd not had a reply, just to make sure that they'd got a message from me.

The next day I sent a further e-mail, and phoned them up. After a lengthy wait on hold, I eventually spoke to a customer support representitive, during the phone call I was lied to and promises were made that were not fulfilled. The day after I sent another e-mail and made a further phone call with a similar wait on hold to the first, but this time one of their customer support reps was willing to do something for me. To date I've not had a reply to any one of the messages or e-mails sent to Aria.

They're cheap, which is good as long as your order is delivered correctly and works, otherwise you've got to deal with their customer support system which isn't in my experience.

Used Aria a few times, not had a problem apart from a slightly delayed RMA (2weeks) but I got the refund through in the end so I was happy

i ordered a mini fridge, dvd player and mem card off them.

mini fridge had a crack in it.

    dvd player didnt work

    mem card was ok.

it took 3 months to rma the dvd player didnt bother with the firdge as i had to pay p + p.

and they only replaced my dvd player when i repeatedly demanded a refund and said i had no need for it.

they then sent me a replacement without telling me.

as with most online pc firms their service shows when a part goes wrong.

They really are beginning to look like a joke.

The email I sent advising them of the fact I had not received my order and all they do is process a refund for the out-of-stock item. No mention of when I can expect the order.

I'll get onto the credit card company if I don't hear anything by the end of the week. I'm certainly not wasting my time phoning them.
