Skype Pro launches today - and we're STILL not impressed

Internet phone company Skype today launched in Europe its new Pro pricing plan for chargeable calls to landlines and mobiles, so we know at last full details of what the service is going to cost.

Unfortunately, we're no more impressed now than when we first wrote about the scheme on January 18. See, Skype Pro promises 'disruptive pricing' but how disruptive is it?
Find out what's not to be impressed by here.

Skype has dropped its price on the Philips VOIP841 combined Skype/DECT phone in the last few days.

When I wrote this Skype Pro story on Feb 21, Skype's price for the Philips was £149.

Now that it's down to £129 - £1 less than the SRP, rather than £20 more - the Skype Pro deal looks a whole lot more enticing, if, that is, you fancy one of these Philips VOIP841 phones.

With the the £21 reduction on the Philips phone being offered to Skype Pro subscribers (the pounds figure is now up on the Skype Pro page, too), you can now get it for £108.
