There's bad news, good news and a good bit more bad news for anyone still using a pre-release version of Windows Vista.
Beta 2, RC1 and RC2 will expire on May 31 but users will be able to upgrade to any full version of Vista - except Enterprise. Trouble is upgrades prices are still massively expensive compared with 'retail' OEM versions.

Well, it was going to happen at some point, it does suck that they're only able to pay for the upgrade version though.
BTW is there any explanation for the price difference between retail, upgrade and OEM versions? 300% mark ups seem pretty crazy.

Hmmm, actually, profit is the money that you make from selling something.
I think you'll find that there is very little profit in selling something at £300 when you are simultaneously selling the exact same thing for £100.
