I quite like that.
I think that PR man needs help though...
I would imagine that if you don't need wifi that you can unscrew (or not fit) the aerial.
The reason for it being on the front is that supposedly most people push the back of their PC up against the wall & I imagine that makes reception/transmission poorer.
Point well made - with WiFi on a desktop PC, it can even be necessary to add an external antenna on an extension lead.
Though, fact is, I'd try VERY hard to avoid using WiFi for a desktop PC and would opt for mains-borne networking every time if wired Ethernet weren't available - mains-borne is so much better in every regard than wireless.
As for the aesthetics, I actually quite like the look of an antenna on the front and wouldn't worry if it stopped the door from closing - I pull off the front-covers of any PC I own any way (I can hear DR gasping as he reads this).
;-)
thats an awesome frontpanel option. its nice to see manufacturers really putting lots of consideration into the enthusiast market. particularly love the missile-style cover for the cmos reset switch. want one.
The wireless would be useful if you have a PC you regularly move to other locations. i know a few people that regularly take their desktop to friendls and families houses.
Move over Asus! Abit's back! lol Very nice indeed aren't they already available for purchase seprately I woudnt mind aquiring one?
Nice. Seriously considering one an abit board's for my new build (assuming they aren't completely dire!), so this is very welcome news!
