Are there no pictures available?
Is that just because they look the same as before
From what I have read elsewhere, it will indeed look practically identical to the original model PSP.
So they are reducing console weight and load times but sacrificing a full third of stock battery life... Unless the new one has somehow spectacularly improved energy efficiency, I hope they end up with at least 1800mAh batteries that match the current models.
Also, they haven't announced how they'll be selling it yet (basic/value/gigapacks etc.).
I thought they were extending the battery life in the new design?
"The new unit still includes the 4.3-inch LCD and UMD, but is 33 percent lighter, 19 percent slimmer, has sped up game load times and improved battery life. The only real "new" features is a video output capability to allow you to play your PSP games on a big screen TV." from here.
I hope they sort the D-pad out, that is the one thing I really hate about my PSP.
Just read on Bit, the D-Pad is a lot better on the new model. I may have to trade mine in for the new one after all.
