Damn
Another slip in the date, just when I thought I timed the build of my new machine rght. More time to save up I guess
Quite a few people I know who were in beta testing, said it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. A hype over actual performance. Who knows, they might just have a problem with new games
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I really enjoyed it.
It forces team play and rewards those that play for the greater good.
The new bot play we saw at GC looked great and the user definable missions for other characters adds a fair whack to it too.
The other thing I liked was how easy it would be a for a complete novice player to get into the game and achieve stuff right from the start... which is something that turns me off from CS in that I just get owned all the time and I just run around looking like bullet fodder.
ETQW gives you clear objectives for your class and makes it easy to achieve and do them, even if you've no clue on the overall campaign picture.
And let's face it, new players into a game on a regular basis is what keep online support going and stops a game stagnating.
Coming from the original ET scene, I can honestly say that I am a fan of Team based games. I do find it funny though how those who are coming from a different FPS background e.g. frag based (every person for themselves), expect to see that kind of gameplay.
