Well this sucks. I'm gonna pre-order and then cancel if it's no good. Even if you cant cancel it you can still take games back to GAME within 7/14 (can't remember) days anyway.

I'm not sure why everyone is so fascinated with beta products these days, I'd rather just play the finished product.

You don't need to cancel it. You don't have to buy pre-orders.

Whats going on with the news guys? Not wanting to tread on toes here but this is almost a week old again!

edit - actually, they might be operating a different system for this promotion not sure.

Quite.. you should be being paid to test a product, not have to pay

It was only announced today, about 10 mins before it appeared on the site.

I thought you have to pay to order your pre-order from GAME or put down a deposit at least. I haven't shopped there for years, games are cheaper elsewhere.

You've never needed to put money down on a pre-order at GAME. Its always been free and non obligatory.

If it was only announced today though, there are quite a few sites on the net that have the ability of time travel Steve
There was some for the 31st August, but i've lost the link and want to sleep

It's an online promotion and they're using the same Preordering system they've used for as long as I remember. You DO have to cancel before release if you play the beta and decide not to get the game. It's not like instore where preordering equates to your name on a list and if you don't turn up, no worries. You order it like you would a normal game, hand over your card details and when it's time to dispatch they take the money. All automatic. You don't cancel you WILL get the game.

Re: UK gamers must pre-order COD4 to play Xbox 360 beta

I'm embarrased that the above post is one of the longest I've posted on here for a while. Edit: Oh I rambled about COD4 a bit the other day. Saved.

I've also started randomly capitalising words like a tabloid newspaper. Worrying.

You are right, my apologies. I got press release sent to me and assumed it was brand new.

Maybe the GAME promotion only went live at that time.

Re: UK gamers must pre-order COD4 to play Xbox 360 beta

I signed up the first day the beta signups were open and it didn't say a word about U.S only.
Day after, I recieved the code in my email.

Next day.. my 360 sounded like someone was using a belt sander next to my face.. so it's now on route to Microsoft
Just hoping it will be back in time for Halo 3.

Also eurogamer have/had a limited supply of codes to give away and all you had to do is sign up to there site. Not sure if I'm supposed to mention eurogamer but I have twice now. Feel free to edit if it a problem.
