*cries*
They said they wouldn't do this At least, not as a core game.

They said something before about single player games being more their kind of thing - you can make the world revolve around the individual in a way that's impossible in multiplayer.
But as a non-core game, fine. Just don't touch my precious Elder Scrolls core games.. I want ESV to be amazing
i just hope it doesn't turn out to be another WoW clone. I have never understood why people play that grindfest
ive just got oblivion, after 2 hours of playtime, i had got nowhere and thought what a load of crap.. now after 7 hours and still not getting anywhere, i love it
An online Elder Scrolls game could be interesting if you got some of the better features from the single players in. Imagine an MMORPG where the NPC's could actually wander around using the Radiant AI? Ok, maybe not the world's best AI for behaviour and NPC's frequently got themselves killed but it'd be different from the other offerings out there.
Biggest problem I can see is PvP combat, entire battles will be spent running around in circles acting like you're playing a damn FPS game rather than a thought out, tactical fight...
one problem i can see is thieves. no one has ever managed to make a mmo that handles them right, probably because no one likes the idea of logging on and finding their shop empty because a wood elf vampire (in final stage) thief broke into their shop...
One of the best things about the TES games though, are the mods available so that you can tailor the game to your liking. An online version really doesn't allow for that so much, so that you only really have official content.
