    EA wants Grand Theft Auto IV but Take-Two snubs takeover bid

    Take-Two Interactive Software has rejected an Electronic Arts proposal to acquire the company for a cash offer of $26 per share, describing it as "inadequate in multiple respects and not in the best interests of Take-Two's stockholders".

    very interesting read, especially the letters - i am so very glad that take2 refused the EA offer, and i really REALLY hope that they refuse once again after the GTA4 release

    Good for Take Two. Damn EA buy up everyone. And their reasoning that it'd be good for Take Two, Rockstar and gamers. lol. I think Take Two are doing alright by themselves.

    EA are just gutted they don't own Rockstar.

    Oh god if EA ever got there hands on the GTA franchise it'd go down the toilet, just look at the C+C series ever since Westwood was bought out by EA. For the life of them EA can never release a stable game, that doesnt need patching every day!
    They would just ruin GTA for ever.

    I know what you mean. On the original XBOX the first game I played that crashed the system was FIFA. The next game to crash the system was Tiger Woods. Hmm.
