Looks like a PC case to me!.. Where would people actually put a case like this?.. Next to the TV stand? under the tv stand? surely its going to stand out and look a bit odd, but i suppose that's the point. They could of at least changed the shape to look less like a PC and more like some interesting, a Pyramid or some other random object..
it just looks like a PC Case.... am I missing the point?

is it me or does it just look like a very tall but thin case, i wouldnt have that in my front room tbh, my coolermaster 690 is fine, all black and doesnt stand out much which makes it fine for anywhere . WOnder how much this will cost?
Not a chance this thing would make it into my lounge. Too big and for me it totally misses the point of what a HTPC should look like...
I quote:
"As it'll supposedly blend right into your living room, Lian Li has designed the case with silence in mind. There's insulation material to go alongside the 22mm-thick aluminium alloy side panels and the case stands proud on rubber pads."
22mm thick panels ... Jesus H Christ thats a thick slab of Alu.... must be many thousands of recycled cans in each case....... and sound deadening properties.. it silences JUST like an inch thick slab of Alu!
I suspect it's 2.2mm rather than 22mm, which is still pretty damn thick for an aluminium case.
They already make HTPC cases (though as far as I'm aware nothing like an Elonex Artisan yet - more AV sized), so why not throw a spanner in the works. Marketing it as an HTPC is a bit silly, unless your idea of an HTPC is Skulltrail-based of course, but it is a good base for a different approach to the server tower many have - a funky alternative to the V2000. Shame it's only got the 2 5.25" drive bays though - that's a bit limiting.
Either this or the smaller x500 will be my next case methinks, depends how well they watercool....I love my current v2000, but its time for a change. Its definately not an htpc chassis though.....
Id personally have liked to see the case be deeper (so that a pa120.3 would happily sit inside the case vertically at the front), and shorter, with the 5.25" bays sitting along side each other, with psu space and maybe a 3rd internal access only 5.25" bay (for a 5.25" resevoir for example)....
