    The PS3 is coming along nicely now, this year is definitely a turning point for it. A global news feature, in-game XMB access, cross game chat, movie downloads and Home are all due this year

    Hope this is in the right forum.
    Can anyone tell me if I can stream films/divx shorts/etc.
    from my computer via my PS3
    I can view/stream still photos & tunes off my PC.

    Your PS3 is a media centre and you can view videos and music which is stored on it, or from a PC (using Windows Media Player, TVersity or some other DLNA program). You cannot stream from the PS3 to another device, unless its another PS3.

    Thanks for the answer,
    It was just that I can see photos (stored on my PC ,streamed through my PS3) to my TV.
    wonder if I could do the same with fims say divx shorts (stored on my PC)
    sorry for any confusion,
    But thanks for the reply, I am learning slowly on my PS3 capabilities and always room for more info
