Re: Headlines - AMD launches trio of new Phenom CPUs

Does anyone REALLY care about AMD CPUs at the moment?

Not to say Hexus shouldnt have printed the article... just saying AMD need to pull something interesting out of their sleeves the same as they did with the new GFX cards. Do they actually have anything at all new in the pipeline?

Well taking into account Intel and Israel bragging about Intel's new Fab today and their undying support for Israel - Trust me when I say 1/3 of this planet (Muslims) will be more interested in buying an AMD CPU than Intel.

I for one am selling my Q6600 to buy the 9950 Black Edition. i've always been an AMD cpu buyer and only bought a Q6600 (back mid last year) as AMD was not in the game with its Quads. Now it is - I'm getting one for sure - Intel and Israel can keep their 5-10% performance gains (not that any software out there needs it these days anyway!)

Re: Headlines - AMD launches trio of new Phenom CPUs

It's nice to see some low power quads, now people wanting to use them with their 780G won't have any problems

I think it's good to try and stay above about 2.4GHz mind you.

As for the black edition, 140W.. that thing is gonna get toasty. they need to pull their thumb out and get these 45nm phenoms sorted.

How about comapring numbers of people that can afford to buy a computer with a new CPU. Remember, just because someone has millions also does not mean they will buy thousands more CPU's than someone with thousands
I think you'll find that Intel can ignore lost sales to Muslims that hate Israelies.

The fabled hotter-than-the-sun Prescott had a TDP of just over 100Watt at 3.2Gighz....
