But using the same setup as the 40GB, so no PS2 backwards compatibility.
This is one sale that's not going to take place for a while then.
^ hmm but will they have that? i don't think they will.
i wish they would just release a cheaper model instead, so they reach the £200 price point and it'll be worth buying for the bluray
i wonder what the older model will go for when the new one comes out
I dojnt want to pay £300, i wanna pay less!
They have done this because of the news about 360 60gb but really £300 is to expensive there better of selling 40gb for £200 then people only have to pay around £40 max for 120gb hard drive.
80gb? These old fashioned consoles are funny.
120gb is where its at.
120gb? These antique gaming devices are funny. 1.5tb is where it's at.
You have confused a console with a hard drive in it with a hard drive.
The whole "Retail" disk size thing with PS3's is such a non-issue really.
To those wanting a cheaper option, you have to realise you are not going to get a substantially cheaper console just with a smaller hard drive. The real cost difference between a 40gb and a 80gb drive is about a fiver. And anyway, sure the majority who are concerned with disk space will replace it anyway, especially as 250gb disks are under £50.
