When M$ say "Microsoft intends to deliver Windows support for hardware that is compliant with the xHCI specification", does that include XP?
As we have seen the last service pack for XP and MS have stopped selling it to major system builders, i doubt very much you will see MS support for USB3 in XP. Especially as it is going to be a long time before the spec is official and you start to see hardware that actually uses the new interface.
It might happen though, you never know, I just wouldn't bank on it.
