I can't say I'll be doing a dance over a new d - pad. It rarely gets used in games I play, gears of war and cod4 in fact are the only games I own that make use of the d pad, and thats only for changing weapon and nothing more ... Rubberised triggers would be very handy, it would save fingers slipping off accidently

Um, whats the point?
I personally won't spend another £30-£40 on a new controller just so the D-pad no longer has foam in it it or whatever. It's a change for change's sake.
If they actually improved something worthwhile ( i.e better battery life, better charging times, better range, more responsive, rubber triggers ( as digit said ) etc etc. ) then perhaps I would buy it.
Can you get something like Gioteck Real Triggers for the 360 pad? They get pretty good reviews aside from price.
