Re: Previews - The Sims 3 - PC

Debut trailer isn't loading for me.

In other news, I give it about 3 hours after release before there's a nude patch and a bug fix up for it. I give it about 20 minutes before it's available for pirating.

    Gamers are sadly predictable.

Surely EA will have some clever (read:annoying as hell) DRM for such a big release

Re: Previews - The Sims 3 - PC

Sims has always annoyed me because its supposed to be aimed at the more casual gamer but I always find myself getting addicted to them and trying to get the blokes to sleep with every female in the neighbourhood or torturing ppl

Re: Previews - The Sims 3 - PC

    maybe ....

Reading stuff on it a while ago i think its doubtful to be released on consoles at the same scale as the pc version. maybe similar to what they did with castaway and the likes

Re: Previews - The Sims 3 - PC

I never really got SIMMS, but they people who do like them find them very addictive, so if you are going to start playing them be careful. Personally I am more of a Warcraft or Word of Warcraft, which is also very addictive, gamer. There isn't even any shooting in the SIMMS.

Er... why should there be? It's supposed to be a simulation game (hint: the SIMS), not an FPS or any other shooter.

Could arm your sim with a gun and go on a killing spree, be like grand theft auto crosses the sims.

Re: Previews - The Sims 3 - PC

But why would you want to? You're supposed to be acting as some kind of God to these supposedly normal Sims - simulated humans. There's no need for any shooting, if you want that get an FPS, or like you said, GTA.

Sims is a game where you create a place, a house, people, and try and make them successful within the game.

The ONLY time guns and stuff should come in is when you want to bump the buggers off because they're not doing what you want

Re: Previews - The Sims 3 - PC

I'd buy it if they added in a thing like in theme hospital were you can shoot the rats, only on the sims.

But toned down so it was an air gun, to punish them for urinating in the wrong place or not tidying up the dishes.

I'd also be more likely to buy it if I was buying a full game. Not 1/10th of a game, requiring 9 expansions to add all the stuff they couldn't be bothered to at release date.

what about those parents/kids forking out £10 a month just to play WOW for one month? catch my drift?

expansion packs for the sims come out once or twice the most a year at a retail price of normally £10-£20?

you do the math i cant wait for this game to come out!
