I'm a little bemused by the concept of releasing new SKUs of both the 9800GTX+ and the GTS250, given that they are basically the same... Still, if they can bring in the GTS250 at around £120 I'll be considering it...
And what are they cutting back on to be able to price cards this cheaply? Their already suspect customer service? Quality control? If it was economical to sell the cards this cheap without cutting back on something important surely one of the budget brands would have tried to undercut the competition already.

i was quite pleased to see the gtx260 hit £162 yesterday on scan so ended up buying one oops!!!
a bit dubious about buying xfx but as its through scan and usually they are quite good with the whole RMA process went for it anyway
I'm just trying to figure out how low they would have to price the GTX 260 for me to buy an XFX card. I haven't got low enough yet.
XFX UK have definite customer service problems at the moment. Just search google for 'XFX RMA problem'.
My 8800GTS has been with them for repair/ replacement under RMA for 6 weeks now. I'm not getting responses to my emails and have no idea if/when they plan to honour their warranty.
Buyer beware, in my experience.
Ok fair enough if not, I just got that impression from a few threads around here. Here's one after a quick search:

Actually XFX were pretty good with my 7900GT rma, Scan wanted me to deal direct with them, which, as it was outside of the 12 month period I can understand. Had to send the card to somewhere in Europe iirc but received an 8600GTS as a replacemnent which I thought was quite fair. Emails were always answered within 2 days and the whole process was quite swift.
So back on topic I would not have any qualms about buying one of their new value cards.
I can only imagine they will be shipping with a heavily stripped down package (practically card only), at stock clocks and in reused cardboard boxes
The XT edition seems like a tasty deal though, given it's clocks. Bite or wait...?
Cheers,
Suman
