Well that's one way to try and shift systems, guess they have to considering it's not even remotely close to being the fastest PC in the world ..aside from in some obscure bit of software. I mean 3.7GHz?? You regularly see people with 4GHz+ on air posting benchmarks and only the other week there was a system at CeBIT that was on Hexus that was running at 4.4GHz, easily massively faster. Bit of a con if you ask me.

I disagere. I haven't seen the benchmarks but I would argue generally speaking performance in software is far more important than the highest cycles per second. Also it may be referring to the fastest commercially available PC.

Don't forget these guys have to apply a warranty to this complete system, I'd imagine the number of returns they'd get to be VERY high if they clocked them all at 4.4Ghz.

this is a very good point overlooked by many people, keeping warranty on overclocked pc is very nice.

but i do agree to use "worlds fastest pc" is cheeky if it means commericially put that, but that still isnt true lol.

Not to mention the White Shark and Triad systems.

It's definitely not just about clock cycles though.

Free Blackeberry huh, just gows to show how massively overpriced it is if they can afford to do that & still turn in a healthy percentage.

Vulcanite, why dont you want to reveal your true identity and connection to the company you are hinting at?

Although I agree, its a bit cheeky their claim...

It really annoys me when Companies make claims like this. I'd like to see them argue why it is the fastest espically after seeing some of the rigs in my bench team

Might mean when the system first came out it was benchmarked as the fastest pc in the world by pc format:
