Well done to the guy for taking the initiative to take the plunge.

Hopefully he does well out of it, although his website does look nice there are obviously some issues with items and informations displayed...

"Orbit Means business" .. No it doesn't

You're right Muddy, £2000 for everything lol They need to get that sorted.

I envy the guy for being in a position to try this, I'm sure a lot of us would like to try it I wish the guy all the success.. I'm sceptical about how long it will last but I hope it does

    orbit means downloading embedded flv's

i dont mind these people, i know a lot of our more shamrocky members hate the usual delivery charges of the big UK players, so there is definitely a small but supportive bunch of customers ready for the taking

Are you seriously saying Patrick is "self made"..

What a joke clearly has some "money from his wealthy family".

The website is very strange, the products do not make sense and most of the stuff listed is not even in stock....

I quite like the website, though agree with mat-ster that not everyone has £250k to splurge on a business tho maybe that's just a little bit of envy in me talking. If he spotted the gap in the market he's entitled to make money from it!

Re: Analysis - Young e-tailer thrives in Northern Ireland

    Jeez, a few haters here........lol

"Shamrocky" member checking in and yes, we are all sick of being plundered for daft delivery costs by mainland companies and this chap has set up the first business of its kind over here and it WILL do well.

I bought a lovely gtx275 from them a couple of weeks ago and the joy of joys to see micro delivery costs (to northern ireland of course ) was indescribeable.

From teh service i received, he deserves to do well.

    Very well.

And who cares how he was setup initially?

You think everyone washes dishes for 20 years to save up to buy their first company?

    OK..deep breath....

    This actually made me want to get up and type what 1000s of people out there were thinking anyway, which is;

1: WHAT A BUNCH OF BS I MEAN, THE ENTIRE ARTICLE IS FULL OF IT!!!

2: The C3 website is FULL OF "IT"! i.e. this is clearly a brand new website and business (terrible since the template is not being updated by a professional) that is yet to be finished, the "company"!?!? HA HA, it is NOT a company, he is NOT a MD (he could only technically be a MD if he was a director in a registered company) and a business can only be called (correctly) a company if it has limited liability (hence the term Ltd) then you get a VAT reg number and a comp number (if they've traded for 2 years with THE 15 EMPLOYEES LOL!!!!

    Now, onto the article....

Hexus is my favourite website, and I've yet to see such an uninformed article on here so I just have to sum this up (just as most people saw it anyway)..

The article actually sounds like it was written by someone who didn't do their homework i.e. actually know something about the economy, their policies and why Dell and others have moved...
Furthermore, the young chap is clearly uneducated judging by the silly statements/ comments he had made. (hopefully I won't be asked to quote them as there are too many of them and they are obvious)

Now Patrick, if you're reading this, here's a top tip (honestly):

Educate yourself about common business mistakes and do some market research.
(I'm pretty sure that even at GCSE economics pupils are taught that competing on price (which is what you're trying to do at the moment) in YOUR case can ONLY lead to failure.

Don't lie THAT much. (I'm well aware that image is important)

Don't expect to enter a market that has perfect competition (almost) and do ANY damage without exceptional knowledge about it.

No further comments (need to work )

Oh and YES, I AM AN ANALYST
