Bleh $80 to £70. Isn't the exchange rate back up to $1.60 to the pound, so more like £50? Please For GPGPU use it's a bargain...

Will be interesting to see what they overclock like. In principle if you could clock then to the same speed as the 4770 it should be faster than the 4770 but for less.

Re: News - PowerColor jumps the gun, announces AMD's ATI Radeon HD 4730

To compensate for the 4770 being in very poor supply most probably. Looks good, maybe there will be custom coolers right away? The 4770 is still waiting for some custom cooling lol.

Any news on the power useage on these? Its going to be more than the 4770 but could it be more than the 4850? It has ddr5 which uses less power right? But the higher core clocks could make it even more power hungry, i still think the sapphire 4850 vapour x is looking like the best value card especially its power performance.

ATi are really doing well these days.

Re: News - PowerColor jumps the gun, announces AMD's ATI Radeon HD 4730

all other sites are reporting it as 55nm as 40nm yeilds are not good, and therefore the shortage of the 4770s, they are taking 4830s and OCing them, giving them DDR5 and renaming them,
