    News - Sony intros VAIO NW notebook, takes Blu-ray on the road

    The screen resolution is very low, and I like a lot of work space. Other than that looks like an excellent package if the price is indeed £600.

    Larger then the average 1280x800.

    Agree that full HD would be better but then you are probably looking at extra premium on top.

    Blu-ray on the road ? I wonder if it's of any use at all and can play a couple of films without being plugged in. It's a fine piece of kit with powerful hardware, can it last "on the road" I doubt it.
    It reminds me of the first few years of sony's portable dvd players, they couldn't play a full movie without running out of battery either.


    Edit just checked.. 1.5 hrs life. That is no doubt with screen turned down, drive not spinning etc, taking real life usage to less than 1hr.. Useless.
