Yay for more massively overrated and over priced PSUs. 7/10 e-peen points for Enermax.

The Corsair. The Corsair is 80+ Gold rated, and comes in at 40 notes cheaper. That's the way to see it Enermax.

I thought the £80 odd I paid for a PC P&C 750W was a bit much! I like the single rail design, as I'd more than likely get confused and break something without it.

I have the 1050w version. It is ultra quiet on idle/windows use and doesnt appear to get much louder during gameplay. This is playing Crysis at 16x AA & GTA 4 at high settings with specs on left, havnt bought any new games for a while. My graphics card gets the loudest.
Unless you have watercooling the CPU, GPU and PSU fans are all going to get louder one way or another.

Im guessing this is an issue because you play at night when others are asleep???
I certainly dont hear the fans over the game sound.

yeah system will be for gaming mostly and photoshop. I think I can narrow my choice to either a Corsair or Be quiet PSU. I dont think the Enermax is worth the extra cost. the 820w unit somehting like £35 more expensive.

I went with Enermax for the known quality and reliablity. Enermax was the first branded PSU I put into a custom build and that one is still working today. To date I've not RMA'd any. Also my area suffers from power cuts and surges quite often, so far only the non branded PSU's have died the Enermax seems to have enough in-built protection if I forget to replace the surge protectors.

Those are just some of my reasons for going with Enermax.
