I really like Browser 6; 160 x 80px Image Link. I mean the features the mentioned like "20 word description" are really interesting.

Should be fun to watch for the next few months at least.

Such a logical solution, why wasn't this put forward & agreed upon on day 1? Fair enough it might use IE to suggest the options to start off with, but then all they have to do is create an option to uninstall IE if they choose to install another browser.
Its so frustrating seeing the amount of hoops & red tape that seems to go along with such trivial problems!
Still not right, i think the companies should pay microsoft some fee for "advertising" their company, that is essentially what they are doing and they got fined for not doing it!. I really dont see any real point to this other than free advertising. Its like going to ford car dealer and they offer you a choice of a nissan, honda, seat etc.
Other than this choice of browsers appearing in what is obviously an IE8 Window, this is exactly what I suggested in a couple of other threads in this issue in the past.
Personally I think it should appear in a window that looks more like Windows Update, and perhaps appear when you first run Windows. Presumably with this proposal, you would need to launch The Internet from an icon with the Internet Explorer logo.
If this does happen, surely Microsoft has a case to make the EU to do the same to Apple?
This is just stupid, why can't microsoft just bundle it's own browser with the OS, much simpler. Anyone who wants a different one can just install it as well...
Most people just want an OS to come with all the basic programmes ready to use, including the browser. Not sure why they aren't allowed to bundle their own browser, considering it comes with it for free :S
You obviously haven't been keeping up with this story then.
This has been discussed ad nauseum in other threads.
I would have thought Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7 should be listed if it's the top browsers by market share. It would be good to have these as options when web applications are written for them.
It won't come up on the first load of IE. How could it, when IE hasn't been installed yet?
Opera are making themselves look ridiculous. It smacks of bitterness that their browser still hasn't increased its market share above 2%, whilst Firefox is up at 20-30% and Chrome has already overtaken them. That's their own fault, not Microsoft's. Perhaps they should promote their browser better.
