I'm going to launch a service that allows 180 characters per tweet... i mean glog... i mean post, and blow the competition out of the water.
How about "Glitter". Like Gloggy and Twitter but only allows you to "glit" nude pictures of Vietnamese children to your followers.
No?
Twitter is established, this isn't, plus they would have learnt from the DDOS attack. The moment you start a character war is goes away from what its meant to be. Can't see it taking off though.
feck.it
the nano-blogging site. only allows 4 characters per submission.
yeah but as it is right now i recieve updates via sms for free from twitter.. and I can tweet via sms for free too
I think that Gloggy have many advantages. One of them is the users subdomains. Tell me other service that can do this? In Twitter you have twitter.com/user. In identi.ca is the same. Gloggy installed and Trends function today and the guys creating it says that they will add many new and unique functions. I already registered there and I am happy with my new account. All these ironic is useless.
By the way, Gloggy is open source too. So you can give it a try. Install it on your system and customize it in the way you want.
