HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
hmmm, i can get a new contact beginning of November...
TEMPTED!
I dont see whats wrong with resistive touchscreen, i dont get along with the lg arena/iphone/itouch as they dont pick up movement properly but my lg renoir seems to get it right most of the time! Texting on that is alot easier than the iphone and reliable.
Looks good, maybe interested in one of those when my contract ends in april Will mean i get a bargin price(if its good).
Resistive touch screens have destinct advantages over capacitive touch screens.
Hence why RIM and HTC have patented two seperate hybrid technologies recently
RIM patent filing reveals hybrid capacitive / resistive touchscreens
HTC files patent for capacitive stylus with resistive accuracy
the resistive touch screen on my Touch Diamond 2 is fantastic. One of the best I've used.
How fast will the processor be?
Not sure I'd get on with the keyboard coming out flat like that. I like the way my N97 flips up at an angle when the keyboard comes out. Looks like the rumours came true after all. This open source will provide many options for the device as well.
Bear in mind, this is an internet tablet with phone functionality (finally!) added - it's not primarily a phone, despite the wording in the article. Maemo is something that's been field tested in the four previous tablet models, this is simply the latest, with version 5 of Maemo
I say GIMMI!
i've been after a decent internet tablet for a while, this suits my needs perfectly
been waiting for this for ages, cannot wait.

N900 is, as Nokia handsets tend to be nowadays, a healthy piece of hardware. It's got a 3.5-inch resistive WVGA screen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, an ARM Cortex 8 processor, and 1GB 256MB of RAM, and is crammed with 32GB of internal memory with a MicroSD slot for expansion, GPS, an FM transmitter, a 5-megapixel camera, a 3.5mm jack and a gajillion-band cellular radio, including, crucially, support for T-Mobile's 1700MHz slice of the spectrum.
I don't really like how it is about 50% thicker than the current iPhone, which is pretty thick as it is. Not particularly convenient for a mobile phone that you are going to be lugging around all the time.
Apart from that it looks like a pretty sexy piece of kit!
