Anyone having a flutter this weekend? I am! For the first time ever, I've placed a proper bet on the Grand National. I'm quite excited!
I bet online and received a free £10 bet too, so I placed £10 on Hedgehunter (10-1) to win and £10 on Bindaree (10-1) to win. Would be nice if one of them comes in!
Neither will probably win now coz I bet on them though, my luck is like that!

From the work sweepstake I got Southern Star at 25/1
Used to work in a bookies years ago. In them days of scary fences and horses dying, any horse at 10-1 in the national would have been the red hot favourite. 10-1 is still quite a low price compared to any other race. Nowadays with the fences being a lot smaller you're really just looking for a horse that is an adequate jumper but can stay all day.With odss of ten to 1 it is unlikely that they will win
