Today it announced it's selling a 65 percent stake in it for around $2 billion, having taken four years to discover there are "limited synergies" between the two companies.

Doomed from that start...google would have been better buying it , instead (or as well as) developing google voice...

Probably not. Or only for regular sellers, like their Customer Service telephone numbers, another reason to dislike the bay.
