Most people willing to spend EU1400 on a SINGLE speaker will not trust a PC to drive the signal.....but instead run it through another 10k+ worth of kit instead.

Plenty of people do this? My media PC talks digitally to my receiver via SPDIF.....

My understanding is these are just floorstanders plain and simple? £2,500 a pair isn't that bad for that sort of thing. Remeber when people buy speakers like that, they expect them to last decades.

The HTPC, Squeezebox and DAC that run my hi-fi are only worth 15% of my total spend.

When I buy a CD, it gets used once and goes in the cupboard
