Is it me or do Acer products generally lack in quality.

I was fixing up a couple of Acer laptops and they do had hardware faults.

Dell might be more expensive but it seems that their stuff is built to last.

I don't know, I've been more than happy with all the Acers we've bought at work over a good half a decade now.

They never shout out "build quality!", but we've had very, very few failures or quality problems. We had a laptop motherboard die on us once, and the RMA procedure was excellent (and based in the UK), contrary to their reputation. Ever since the only failure has been a batch from a couple of year ago where the hard drives seemed to be from a bad batch, as we've had 3 out of 4 fail, unfortunately outside of the warranty.
