I'd like to see prices for the 64Gb version.
Price should be around US$210 for the 64GB Falcon II SSD.
The Falcon is one of the more affordable Indilinx based SSD drive I've seen in the UK, so here's hoping that this one will get closer to £1.50/GB (I don't think it will - I guess that below £2/GB is currently a good deal already).
Good to see a reduction in fab size. If what it did to Intel's prices is anything to go by - transforming one of the most expensive £/GB drives to one of the cheapest - these could be very well positioned.
Sequential read and write figures are better for advertising,
but until we see the 4k random write figures, its just another drive...
It may not beat any record. Actually, it doesn't if it's priced right. But unless they really mess up, I'd expect the 4k random write to be in line with the last gen (I hope they have more sense than to release anything that does not stomp mechanical drives and remain competitive with existing SSDs).
