    News - HTC Droid Eris offered at just $30 in Walmart

    A slightly redesigned and repackaged version of the HTC Hero has popped up at US retail outfit, Walmart, for $30. It's not the only smartphone to get a price snip either.

    Without telling us what the contract is behind the $30 its a bit of a hollow story! I got my HTC Kaiser a few years ago for £20, but that was with a £35, 18 month contract...making the intital ''cheap'' £20 fairly short sighted!

    seems like this has more to to with everyone wanting a motorola droid to be honest. the eris needs to be significantly cheaper or no-one would touch it
