we need some kind of incentive for them to buy the game and play it
Sounds like too little far too late to me. As some one with every COD title this is the first I've skipped and I've decided it'll stay that way - I've got better games to play on my PC (and xbox!).

Apologise for treating pc gamers wrongly
Make a single player expansion for FREE that is longer than 8 hours
I would CONSIDER buying it after that. 8 hours for a premium game is TOO SHORT

Don't think I could have put it better...
At the very least fix dedicated server support, and add modding, however i can't see them adding modding as that would prolong the life of the game, which is not what they want.

I know a person that can mod modern warfare 2 now.
He currently goes by the name of Dark Clown. His gaming name have been The_Clown.
He started modding back in the day of combat flight simulator. This guy had great maps.
He then went on to Rogue Spear, the maps were wicked.
He spent 7 years modding Ghost Recon. Has 188 maps to his name. He also made the only successful Anti Cheat for Ghost Recon, and proven to work. He tore apart BF 2142 and was Rank number 1.
If there is anyone that can mod a good map, we need to get him to help.

It's a joke to release a game OVER £50 that has 8 hours of single player gameplay. that is more than £5 per hour spent playing the game. Compare it to Borderlands, that is more like 50p an hour, Forza 3 which came out at the same price is probably about 50p an hour. I don't expect to pay more than £3 per hour of single player on a game unless it really is something special
They won't add lean or dedicated servers let alone anything else. They are money grabbers with no sense of creativity resorting to porting core mechanics to PC gamers.

Yes I did, but that doesn't change the fact that it will never happen. For the record I agree with you, but we have to be realistic. Games just don't magically appear out of thin air, you have to employ people to develop it and whatnot, those same people who are paid by whatever company. No way will that company ever say "go ahead" for a free expansion pack, DLC/whatever. And it's even less likely considering COD6 has topped pretty much every GOTY poll and that company is EA. They found a forumale that works, and they are sticking to it. Yes they ****ed us PC gamers over, but **** happens.

Your post is telling me nothing I don't already know. I do games programming. However it has happened before, and free DLC does come out.
The thing is, the game from what I have heard from PC gamers who have played it, dont really think its that great, multiplayer or single player. Infact a lot have gone back to Modern Warfare, for the dedicated servers and for the fact the maps are more balanced.
I playde MW2 on the 360 and one particular map, which I cant remember the name of, was in no way balanced for the two teams, one team spawned quite high while the other spawned at the bottom, the team at the top were able to get to the buildings that covered the lower spawn, without them having a chance to get out, meaning they were just pummeled from the high ground and had no chance of taking any of the high points.

It is EA, not Valve or some MMO, what do you expect? Any "expansion" will just be £50 MW3.
Eh, EA have nothing to do with CoD, it's Activision and Infinity Ward.
