Re: Features - Biggest video game disappointments of 2009

I actually felt the Opposite of MW2 myself, not particularly excited for it especially as I didn't enjoy the Campaign much on MW1, but it blew me away! MP would be better if people took it less seriously but that's hardly a game issue

In my opinion, most disappointing was probably Ghostbusters.

Most games I played this year I really enjoyed, but I always make sure the game I'm getting has generally good reception to avoid disappointment.

Oh, add Bionic Commando to that - oh so pretty but hardly fun at all!

I quite enjoyed Ghostbusters, the only disappointing game I've played this year has been Wheelman.

Didn't expect much from it to begin with, but wow was that truly awful.

Modern Warfare 2, without a shadow of doubt. Looking forward to it for months, and I haven't even bought it.

Nothing else springs to mind though, it's been a year of mediocrity in my eyes.

Good call, I forgot about that. They had a big budget as well. Very dissapointing.

Agreed about Wolfenstein - they pretty much butchered this once brilliant game by trying to bring new things to the table and ending up with a bug ridden glitched mess.

That's wierd, I'm a big CoD fan, but I really didn't like the single player in MW2 - I really thought that the equivalent in MW(1?) was better. The multiplayer however, I've played more than any other '360 mp game (and that includes Halo) - that said, I get waxed so often that I'm thinking of changing my gamer tag to "sitting duck" or "dead meat".

    (BTW, you've got an extra "4" in there - the game's actually "COD:MW2" )

I know it's cheating, but the biggest disappointment in PC gaming for me this year was CoD:WaW - the inter-level delays (5-10 minutes) make it pretty near unplayable. Yes, I know my PC spec sucks, but Crysis runs fine on the same machine.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...
