Why is my N96 being offered this as download then? Does this mean that as someone with Nokia last generation flag ship phone (and 13 months into a 18 month contract) I'm effectively having to pay for something others get free??
If so its just another nail in the poor excuse that is my N96 - was a real Nokia guy - not anymore.
GOOD ONE NOKIA - Fantastic to see you've pulled your fingers out of your back side. Feeling the pressure are we????
This is brilliant. I use my Nokia maps on my E71 all the time but refuse to pay for voice navigation.
Hope more good stuff to come from the OVI brand...
If google navigation comes to the EU they are still doomed Yay streetview!

I've installed this on my E71 and its caused all sorts of issues. Its much more resource hungry and slows my phone down and constantly wants to go online to check for licenses. I checked out the forums and there seems to be a number of issues with this software.
Why the hell can't Nokia make any good software no more.
Second this - They've made real good use of the screen real estate on the 5800 and the navigation works well, although I havent really tested it extensively. One thing though, when not navigating, ie. just tracking your movement, it doesnt seem to orientate the map to always move 'up' anymore, i just seem to have it locked to up = North...
But either way, its free - it works - I really dont need a tom tom anymore, and for me, makes the 5800 arguably one of the greatest, if not the greatest value phone that has existed. Theres not a lot it cant do, and its free on most cheap contracts now. But thats a whole other thread I could talk about.
Well done Nokia!
