More pointless tosh for people to waste valuable minutes of their lives on.

I would say it's just another interface, accessed through a sub-domain, for the normal Facebook service.

so there is (in order of weight from lightest to heaviest):
    http://zero.facebook.com
    http://m.facebook.com
    http://touch.facebook.com
    http://lite.facebook.com
    http://www.facebook.com

I don't know where the Facebook apps would sit, probably between 'm' and 'touch'.
